Artificial Intelligence, games and series: this is how television has been reinvented in the last decade

If we compare the appearance of a television from more than a decade ago with one from 2022, we will see few differences, but it is one of the devices that have evolved the most in its features during the last decade to continue being the center of home entertainment.

There was a time when televisions were called the dumb box. Today, the only dumb box is the cardboard one that protects the impressive array of technology that goes into today’s television.

The reality is that I no longer sit down “to watch TV” as I did a few years ago. Now I sit down to watch “The House of the Dragon” or one of the continuous releases offered by these platforms and I am the one who chooses when I start and finish watching an episode.

The televisions have been able to adapt to them by improving Smart TV platforms with better connectivity options via WiFi and network cable, as well as ensuring the support of these platforms in the application stores of the television operating systems.

In addition, all brands strive to facilitate access to this content by grouping series and movie recommendations from these platforms on the front page of their operating systems or in the form of direct access from their respective remote controls.
